Designed by Orrin Smith, Westover Golf Course opened in 1957 as part of the Westover Air Force base when it was an active part of the Strategic Air Command.
With its long, flat, tree-lined fairways and four sets of tees Westover is a great walking course for golfers of all skill levels; but with a premium on excellent approach shots it is challenging enough for the most expert golfers.
The fairways are a mix of bent and blue grass; and with greens of bent grass, Westover is 7,025 yards from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 73.7 with a slope rating of 131.
